Membership, answered
Is membership the same as buying medication?
No. Membership covers your provider relationship, oversight, check-ins, and the Meridian platform. Medication, when a provider decides it’s appropriate, is one part of your care and is billed separately at member pricing.
Why does Meridian cost more than some online clinics?
Meridian is not designed to be the lowest-cost telehealth provider. Membership includes ongoing provider oversight, individualized care plans, secure messaging, and a premium digital experience. We focus on individualized care rather than one-time prescriptions.
Am I charged before I’m approved?
Never. Your online visit is free. You’re only charged once a licensed provider reviews your profile and approves a plan — if they decline, you pay nothing.
Can I change or cancel my tier?
Anytime. Membership is month-to-month — upgrade, downgrade, pause while you travel, or cancel with no penalty.
How do payments work?
Pay by card, debit, or bank (ACH). Payment details are tokenized by our payment processor — we never store raw card or account numbers, and nothing is charged until a provider approves.
Do I need labs to join?
No. Lab testing is not required to get started, although your provider may recommend it based on your individual evaluation. When testing is ordered through your care, results are organized for review by your licensed provider. The technology does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatment, or replace a licensed provider’s clinical judgment.
Do I need a membership to have laboratory results reviewed?
No. Laboratory testing ordered as part of an active provider-led care relationship is reviewed by a licensed provider regardless of membership status. Meridian Vitality does not offer automated or standalone laboratory interpretation outside an active clinical encounter.
